I planned one shopping trip to use $2.25 and see just how far it would go. To my pleasant surprise, I still have $0.79 left! See this post for why I am doing this.
ETA: Did the second shopping trip: Total OOP was $1.01.
So, my total for the 2 trips was $ 2.47 - I ended up going over by 0.22 .
I was close though: I think if I had chosen something for about .89 instead of the 1.25 bread I would have been OK. But we needed bread, so I got it!
Combined trips: Purchased $81.84 worth of stuff for $2.47 out of pocket! Pretty good I think!
Here is a picture of the first shopping trip to Publix. I will update this post when I go shopping to spend the remaining $0.79.

Found your blog on the blog list at IHeartPublix. I LOVE the "government says" portion at the top. I think this is hysterical - but it makes me feel great about my spending!
